‘The Frontline for Hope’ #CerebralPalsy

Earlier this month I wrote about Jenson in  ‘A Life Changing Journey‘ as he and his family will be heading out to The States very soon. In less than two weeks, actually!

In brief, Jenson is five years old, has Cerebral Palsy and will be receiving a life-changing operation. As he was unable to get the surgery in the UK he will be attending St Louis

Children’s Hospital. His campaign, website, Facebook page and Facebook group are aptly named ‘Jenson’s Journey’; this isn’t just a journey to the US, this is a life-changing journey that will continue for a few years as he has recovery and therapy yet to face.

As March is ‘Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month’, I’ve been trying to keep up to date with Jenson - and his mum, Katie, mentioned that there will be documentary about St Louis Children’s Hospital. It’s a six part docu-series entitled ‘The Frontline for Hope‘ and it starts tomorrow night! The episodes are scheduled for the 16th, 23rd and 30th of March and the 6th, 13th and 20th of April. You will be able to watch it online and read all about the team and patients involved in the programme too. Head on over there and bookmark it in readiness.

You can also read the background to ‘Jenson’s Journey‘ as told by his mum, Katie, which includes the pre-op evaluation video and links to other helpful information.

Related: Jamie Cromier – Jamie tells us her story via video. She also attended St Louis Children’s Hospital for treatment as Jamie has scoliosis (severe curvature of the spine).
